APARA - American Pan-African Relief Agencies, Inc.

The American Pan-African Relief Agencies, Inc. (APARA), founded in December 1998 is a tax exempt, non-profit, organization fully committed to bringing help and hope to -Africa, the world"s most impoverished continent with its challenges of poverty, disease and hunger. APARA carries out its programs independently and in cooperation with established charitable organizations in the US and Africa.

APARA's services include relief missions to Africa to support AIDS orphans and vulnerable children, economic empowerment programs for the distressed and economically disadvantaged, aid to charitable organizations in Africa and services to the African immigrant community in the US.

Financial and in-kind support for our services is provided by donations from the general public, corporations, foundations and governmental organizations. These pages describe our programs, services and accomplishments, and our vision for the future.

During our first six-plus years much has been accomplished in Africa and the US. APARA's programs and activities are described in the pages of this website.and are documented in our photo galleries, videos and in a new booklet entitled "The World Today - Africa and Her Challenges - Part II" .
