We want to thank those generous donors who have made it possible for our organization to provide all the services and our accomplishment thus far. We humbly appeal for more support and general donations from members of the public here in the United States and the global community to enable our organization continue its services to those in need and distressed especially the AIDS Orphans and other suffering children who are hungry, sick from various diseases and are facing extreme hardship as reflected here in our website. The humanitarian requests and distressed calls received daily by our organization especially those in emergency situations from Sub-Saharan Africa and also from some of the immigrants here in the United States are overwhelming. During our twelve years of services and through our collaboration/ collective partnership programs and contract agreements with many agencies, APARA provided services such as Job/vocational training and employment placement, High School Equivalent Diploma (GED), Job Readiness, English-as-a-Second Language (ESL), , housing and immigration services, career and general counseling Services etc

SERVICES TO THE IMMIGRANTS AFFECTED BY THE SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 WORLD TRADE CENTER DISASTER IN NEW YORK

Between 1999 and 2012, over 5,600 distressed people in need including immigrants visited APARA office to request for variety of services. Out of this figure, the American Pan-African Relief Agencies provided services to 4,117 people and below are the breakdown of those who benefited from our services:

·700 persons were placed in permanent employment positions by our partners in Urban Placement Brokers, STRIVE and Creative Interactive Solutions.
·
570 persons received job and English-as-a- Second Language (ESL) training
·
950 immigrants affected by the September 11 terrorist attacks received financial aid and other relief material assistance through several APARA & TAPARA outreach programs:
·
519 persons received financial assistance from the September 11 Fund of New York, Safe Horizon Red Cross and the Salvation Army
·
200 persons received FEMA Housing assistance 178 persons received financial assistance of $4000 each at the APARA’s office in New York city by Safe Horizon.

·178 persons received financial assistance of $4,000 each  at the APARA’s office at 2403, 2nd  Avenue, New York, New York 10035 paid by Safe Horizon on behalf of 9/11 FUND
